Dear God,

I am so lost and alone.  I do not know where I am going in life anymore.  Some days, I really wish I were never even born.   Please help me find meaning and purpose in life. I am sorry for all the times I have rejected opportunities for love and happiness in my life out of fear and fragility.  Please forgive my sins, even though I do not believe I deserve it.  Give comfort to the dying, give solace and healing to the suffering.  Help me to live in your love, and embrace life.  I am knocking, God, please open a new door to me.
