Dear God

I thank You for everything You’ve done in my lifetime, but I just ask of You for these two things. There’s something that’s been stored up in me for a few years now, my most shameful sin. I know what it is, You know what it is, and it’s preventing me from living the life I want to live. So please God, I just ask for these two things:

• Help me repent Lord. I’ve asked for forgiveness a countless number of times, but I keep sinning and sinning, the same sin over again. It’s a continuous cycle and I’m getting sick of it. I’ve said I’d change, and it worked for about a month, but I fell again. Heavenly father I just ask of you to help me repent for good. That never again would I have to face this again. I need You, please.

• God, I also ask of you to help me find acceptance. I go to this church that I love. I love the people, I love the worship, I love You. Never in my life have I found a group of friends that seemed so great. I’m always happy when I’m with them, and I never ever want to lose them. But God, if I ever tell them about my sin, I think I really will lose them. So I pray to You Heavenly Father, that when the day comes of when I confess my sin to them, that they would forgive me like You have. And that they would still have their loving arms wide open for me Lord. I don’t want to lose them. Please help me, I need You.
