Dear God,

my cousin is so lost. He’s a year younger than me and yet he is going through things that I went through. His parents give him such a rough time, they randomly yell at him. I’m so worried about him, I want to be there for him, but its so hard to be there for him when there are 2 states separating us. Just like me, he started cutting himself, I stopped knowing that each time I cut, I hurt you. His faith is low, He doesn’t care about what he’s doing. He tells himself that it’s okay since they’re aren’t that bad. I feel like it’s my responsibility since I have been through down that road and I’m his older cousin. Please God, my Father, please, look after him. Show him that hurting himself isn’t the road to make things feel better. I try to tell him that it only makes things harder because he has to deal with family problems plus the pain he suffers from his wounds. Even when the scars heal away, the thought of it and the picture never goes away. Please Lord, take care of him. Give him the strength to put down the blade and pray. Give him the strength to put the the blade and walk away and try to fix the problems he has with his parents. I love him dearly because he reminds me so much of myself. Please, I do not want this to go on any further. I love him too much for him to go through this kind of pain. Amen
