In regards to someones prayer…
This is not necessarily a prayer, but I truthfully believe it is a answer to the individuals prayer about SALVATION. The bible is very percise and direct with what salvation is. All through out the old testament, God has forshadowed the NEW TESTAMENT with how we are to be saved.
1), we must have faith that the WORD OF GOD is infact, the word of God. With that faith we also must understand we are sinners, sinners who are to be saved by grace. Which is why we repent. Repentance is asking for forgiveness AND turning away from sin.
Luke 13:5-Jesus Said “I tell you, nay: but except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish”
Acts 3:19-Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presense of the Lord.
2)Baptism. Baptism comes from the word baptiso, it means to be immersed. Likewise, if you look up the definition of baptism, it is to be immersed in water. Not sprinkled, but fully put under and taken back up. We are to be baptized in the Name Of JESUS. Because He(Jesus) is God manifest. He is the Lord. “One Lord One Faith One Baptism”(Found in the book of Ephesians).
Mark 16:15-16 “And he (Jesus) said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 22:16- “And now, why tarriest thou? arise, and be BAPTIZED and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Acts 2:38-“Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized everyone of you for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
3)Holy Spirit Infilling. Being filled with the Holy Ghost, having Gods’ spirit living within us. Now, a lot of denominations do not find this necessary, but it is extremely clear that it is. The word of God is a foundation for not only living but receiving eternity with Jesus.
Romans 8:11-But if the SPIRIT of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans 8:9-But ye are not in the flesh, BUT IN THE SPIRIT, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now, if any man have not the Spirit Of Christ, he is none of his.
Salvation is Gods’ marvelous work of seperating us from sin and reuniting us with Himself. Jesus Christ preached faith and repentance. Mark 1:14-15, Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. And saying, the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent ye, and believe the gospel.
We have to understand first, that Jesus IS God. And in order to have faith in God, we must have faith in Jesus.

Now, if you don’t understand how God and Jesus are one, I’ll break that down quickly. Because some people believe Its’ 3 seperate persons, Father, Son, Holy Ghost. But just explaining it, doesn’t make sense, seeing how God, and the Holy Ghost are spirits, not persons. We can not see a spirit, yet we can feel them. The ONLY person in those three is Jesus.
I’ll explain it like this:
My name is Ivy, I’m a employee, a sister, and a daughter. But when I go to the bank, I wont sign my check “employee, sister, daughter”. No, those are more .. characteristics..my name, Is Ivy. Therefore, I’ll sign with my NAME, Ivy.
In the book of 1 Timothy it clearly states Jesus is God manifest.
James 2:19, explicitly says “Thou believest that there is ONE GOD, thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble”
Praise God for truth, right?
Its’ written for us to not change, but to accept, have faith in, and act on.
I just want to make sure, you understand the need for water baptism. Some people don’t, and I would hate to type all of this and you still be curious, so at the end of this, if you are, please go on my tumblr, ask me a question and we can talk ..
First, we should be baptized because it is a direct commandment from Jesus Christ. Acts 2:37-38. Mark 16:15-16. He directly links baptism to salvation by stating that those who respond to the gospel by believing and being baptized will be saved.
Second, we should be baptized because it is part of the new birth experience. It is part of our spiritual birth of water and spirit. The bible says we MUST be born again.
Now, I’m going to break this down by water and spirit, because BOTH, being baptized in Spirit and Truth are mentioned in the bible.
Water: John 3:5 Except a man be born of water …
Spirit: John 3:5 …and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Water:Titus 3:5 He saved us by the washing of regeneration…
Spirit: Titus 3:5 …and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
Water:Acts 2:38 “..Be baptized everyone one of you..
Spirit: Acts 2:38 …”And ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Water:Acts 19:5-6 “they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus…
Spirit:Acts 19:5-6 ….and when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them
