It didn’t work out.
Why? Because, our hearts are with someone else. We’re both in love with people who don’t, and might never, love us back. You and I are so much more alike than I thought we could ever be. We tried running away from a past that was haunting us, & searched for comfort in the arms of another. I wanted love, I wanted to be happy, I wanted to be wanted. Same thing goes for you. That’s why, at the time, we felt that there was no one else in this world to turn to who could match our feelings. We were living in the happiness that we created together. But even then, you & I still desired for something more. Something that we once had before. And that desire couldn’t be fulfilled with just the two of us. No matter how much we wished it would. I hope you find the happiness that you deserve. Don’t worry about me. My time will come, when it’s meant to. Everything happens for a reason, I just have to keep reminding myself that. So, as I sit here thinking about what happened yesterday, I just pray that our friendship never dies. I can’t afford to lose anyone else. We’re not meant to create a future together, I know that.
And in a sadly ironic way,
I realized that we’re absolutely perfect for each other.
