Dear God,

You’re the One who created Me. You know my thoughts and very being. In moments like these where someone has maligned, be the One control my emotions. Go before me, Lord God, and cause me not to sin as I process this anger. Lord, you are gracious. Help me to be gracious. Help me to show compassion. Help me to forgive and understand him.

That’s all I ask, Lord.
